About us

PolicyKind is a website run by PolicyKind, an insurance brokerage registered with RIBO in Ontario. We built it so that finding car insurance feels clear and calm, and so that a real person is always one step away.

The broker model

A broker is a regulated professional who works for you, not for an insurance company. We are not an insurer. When you ask for a quote, a broker looks at your situation, compares options from the insurers we work with, and explains the differences in plain words. Nothing is bound until your broker confirms it with you.

What you can do here

• Car insurance: answer a few questions, see three options with every price explained, then talk to your broker.
• Home, tenant, condo, life, travel and business insurance: send a short request and a broker will contact you.
• Read the guides: each one names its sources and the date its facts were last checked.

How we are paid

Placeholder. How the brokerage is paid (for example, a commission from the insurer that issues the policy, any fees, and whether this changes the price you see) is to be written here once the brokerage confirms the facts. We will not publish this page as final without it.

What we promise

• Quotes are free and you are never obliged to buy.
• Your details are encrypted and seen only by the broker who handles your request. Read the privacy policy.
• If we do not know something, we say so.

Languages

You can use the site in English, French, Persian and Arabic. Ask your broker which languages they can speak with you.
